Great job Joyce! You make a very profound statement when you inform "some teachers do not effectively prepare students to learn on their own." Sometimes, teachers become enablers. My 8-year old child is very adorable (per his teachers), but can be manipulative (per me) and knows how to act to get what he wants. He never gets in trouble and always does what is told of him, but his teachers think he is so 'adorable' that at times they are enabling him.
